Shannon Vazquez

Shannon Vazquez graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a BA in Social Sciences and Child and Family Studies and from Queens College with a Master of Arts in Teaching with First through Sixth Grade Teaching Certification. Later, she obtained a Birth through Second Grade certification. As a 20-year veteran of Early Care and Education in New York City, she has spent time teaching, coaching and training teachers, directing and leading. Currently, she is the South Bronx Director at All Our Kin. All Our Kin is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that trains, supports, and sustains family child care educators—transforming opportunities by ensuring that children and families have the foundation they need to succeed in school and in life. More than anything, Shannon is committed to doing work that moves children, families and educators to a more equitable way of life and educational experience. Shannon was born and raised in Queens, NY, and has worked in every borough, impacting the lives of thousands of children.
